About Extreme:
Established in
1994, Extreme Motorsports was born out of the passion of being involved in the world of motorsports.
In this time we have not only been on the cover of numerous publications, but also on national television
where not only did we set a record, we made history. We were the first true unibody 4-cylinder to run
back-to-back confirmed 8-second 1/4-mile passes. If that were not enough, we were then immortalized
in the Need for Speed video games, Editions 1 & 2. And we're just getting started.
Our
facility is positioned in one of the best locations between
Baltimore Maryland and Washington D.C. We house the areas only
complete Dynojet AWD dynamometer that is capable of measuring
up to 1200-horsepower on any rear wheel drive, front wheel drive,
and most all wheel drive vehicles (wheelbase limitations for
AWD) car or passenger truck with a professional staff that knows
how to use every function of it. We also are the areas only performance
facility that can perform MIG welding of steel and stainless
steel as well as the much more difficult TIG welding of mild
steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Beyond that we are
proficient with several tuning tools ranging from piggyback engine
systems, reflash software to complete standalone engine management. Whether you
need a cold air intake system installed or a complete vehicle rebuild —or
simply you want to see what your horsepower is, we can do it all under one roof.
So what cars
have we dealt with? Not only do we tune and completely rebuild
all turbocharged DSM’s (Eclipse, Talon, Laser from 1990-1999)
we also have competently upgraded and tuned everything from 1965
Ford Cobra replica cars, supercharged street and road race NSX’s, 1000 ft lbs
of torque turbocharged Ford and Chevy diesel trucks, 8-second Toyota Corollas, Dodge Vipers, C6
Corvettes and LS1 powered Camaro’s, to daily driven 10
and 11-second Hondas. And for a statement our daily driven 2003
Evolution VIII is a 3600+ pound 11.4@123mph complete street
car that not only performs on the track, but also achieves complete
street tractability that still relies on the factory
turbo and 93-octane gas. In both Maryland International Raceway Domestic vs. Import race events in '06 and '07 we have made it to the finals eliminating significantly lighter and faster E.T. cars. Although the parts that we run are
nothing out of this world, it is our careful choice and in-house tuning
that makes it all work together as a system. That's what sets us apart from our competition.
We are continually
expanding our product lines and performance capabilities. Although
our specialty has primarily been the Mitsubishi 4G63 powered
cars for most of our past, we are excited to announce that we also
have completed our research and development to bring our customers
the same level of precision for several other brands of vehicles. We are
now structured to handle Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Honda, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge.
This is something that we pride ourselves for: being an expert
in our professional field and being focused on a specific set
of goals. High quality professionalism that has the flexibility
to meet your demands and knowing the vehicles is what we are
all about.
So whether you
are looking for a performance shop that has the most expansive
capabilities with parts and service in the area or you need
a dyno to correctly tune your car---- we are your #1 automotive source. We like the one stop shop method for our customers.
News Update: February 2007 Extreme Motorsports is very proud to announce that we are now an authorized dealer and installer for JBL audio electronics and Kenwood systems.
